Operator: Sound.Church, a 508(c)(1)(a) religious organization in Owatonna, Minnesota, operating the website sound.church and the Sound.Church mobile app.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
1.1
By using sound.church, the Sound.Church mobile app, or any of our digital services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1.2
If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use our website, mobile app, or digital services.
2. About Sound.Church
2.1
Sound.Church exists to amplify Jesus and create space for authentic encounters with Christ. We seek to welcome people into life-giving community, help people grow in faith, and encourage everyone to discover and use their God-given gifts for God’s glory.
2.2
Our services and ministries may include:
Weekly Sunday worship gatherings.
Sermon media resources, including video and audio.
The Sound.Church mobile app.
Kids ministry.
Youth ministry.
Young Adults ministry.
Men’s ministry.
Women’s ministry.
Sound Groups.
Life Recovery groups.
Service teams.
The Sound.Church school ministry.
Other church programs, events, and ministry opportunities.
2.3
Ministry schedules, programs, content, and availability may change from time to time.
3. Use of Our Website and App
3.1
We grant you permission to use our website and mobile app for your personal, non-commercial use and for participation in Sound.Church ministries and services.
3.2
You agree not to:
Misuse our website, mobile app, or digital services.
Attempt to disrupt, damage, disable, or interfere with our services.
Scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically collect content or information without permission.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or networks.
Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, malware, or other harmful material.
Use our services in a way that harms another person.
Use our services to violate any applicable law or regulation.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with Sound.Church.
Circumvent security features or access restrictions.
3.3
We may suspend or limit access to our website, mobile app, or digital services when we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, created a risk to others, or used the services unlawfully.
4. Accounts and Registration
4.1
Some features, including group registration, event registration, digital giving, or use of portions of the mobile app, may require you to create an account or provide registration information.
4.2
You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for updating your information when it changes.
4.3
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activities conducted through your account. Do not share your password or other account credentials with unauthorized people.
4.4
If you believe that your account or login credentials have been used without authorization, please contact us promptly at hello@sound.church.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1
The sermons, videos, audio recordings, graphics, photographs, logos, trademarks, designs, written materials, software, and other content made available through our website, mobile app, or digital services are owned by Sound.Church or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
5.2
You may listen to, watch, download where permitted, and share Sound.Church sermon media for personal and ministry purposes, provided that you do so accurately, without alteration that misrepresents the content, and with appropriate attribution to Sound.Church.
5.3
You may not:
Resell, license, or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
Rebrand our content.
Remove copyright, trademark, or other ownership notices.
Claim our content as your own.
Alter or distribute our content in a way that misrepresents Sound.Church or its teachings.
Use our logos or trademarks without written permission.
6. Your Submissions
6.1
You may submit prayer requests, connection cards, event registrations, photographs, testimonies, feedback, questions, and similar content through our website, mobile app, forms, or other digital services.
6.2
You retain ownership of content that you submit. By submitting content, you grant Sound.Church permission to use, store, reproduce, communicate, and process that content as reasonably necessary to:
Respond to you.
Provide pastoral care or ministry support.
Coordinate events, groups, programs, and volunteer opportunities.
Carry out church operations.
Communicate with you about ministry opportunities and church activities.
Provide and improve our website, mobile app, and digital services.
6.3
You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that your submission does not:
Violate any law.
Infringe another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Contain malicious code or harmful material.
Include threats, harassment, abuse, or deceptive material.
Unreasonably expose another person’s private information.
6.4
Prayer requests and care-related information are handled with pastoral care and confidentiality consistent with our Privacy Policy. Confidentiality may have appropriate limits when disclosure is necessary to protect a person from harm, comply with the law, or respond to a safety concern.
7. Digital Giving and Donations
7.1
Online gifts and donations to Sound.Church are voluntary. Digital giving is processed through third-party payment providers.
7.2
Sound.Church does not store full payment card details. Payment information is handled by the applicable third-party payment provider under that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
7.3
Gifts are generally non-refundable except when a refund is appropriate because of an error, duplicate charge, or another circumstance approved by Sound.Church.
7.4
Giving records may be used for:
Donation receipting.
Financial accountability.
Recordkeeping.
Legal and tax compliance.
Internal administration of Sound.Church ministries and operations.
7.5
If you believe a donation was made in error or charged more than once, please contact us promptly at hello@sound.church.
8. Text Messaging Program
Sound.Church operates a text messaging (SMS) program. By opting in to receive text messages from Sound.Church, you agree to receive account-related and customer-care messages (for example: responses to your inquiries, scheduling, and follow-ups) at the phone number you provided. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; after you send STOP, we will confirm your opt-out and send no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@sound.church. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You may reply HELP for help at any time, or contact us at hello@sound.church. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving any goods, services, or ministry from Sound.Church.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. All categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
9. Community Conduct
8.1
Sound.Church seeks to be a welcoming and life-giving community where people can meet Jesus, engage in authentic community, and grow in faith. We ask everyone who participates in person or online to:
Treat others with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Communicate honestly and thoughtfully.
Protect children and vulnerable people.
Refrain from harassment, threats, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behavior.
Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others.
Follow reasonable instructions from church leaders, staff, ministry workers, and volunteers.
Help maintain a safe environment for worship, ministry, learning, and fellowship.
8.2
We may remove content, restrict participation, or take other appropriate action when conduct threatens the safety, dignity, privacy, or peaceful participation of others.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
9.1
Our website, mobile app, and digital services may link to or rely on third-party platforms and services, including messaging, giving, registration, payment, media, hosting, and other technology providers.
9.2
Third-party services are operated by their respective providers. Sound.Church does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, or business practices.
9.3
Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider’s own terms, policies, and notices. You should review those terms and policies before using the service.
11. Disclaimers
10.1
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website, mobile app, content, and digital services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
10.2
Sound.Church does not guarantee that the services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete, current, or free from errors, defects, or harmful components.
10.3
Information provided through our website, mobile app, sermons, media, forms, and other digital services is intended for general informational and ministry purposes. Nothing on our website or app constitutes professional legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
10.4
If you need professional advice, you should consult a qualified professional who can consider your specific circumstances.
12. Limitation of Liability
11.1
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound.Church and its leaders, staff, volunteers, agents, representatives, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, our website, mobile app, content, or digital services.
11.2
This limitation includes damages relating to loss of data, loss of access, loss of goodwill, interruption of service, or other intangible losses, even if Sound.Church was advised that such damages were possible.
11.3
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sound.Church and its leaders, staff, volunteers, agents, representatives, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
Your misuse of our website, mobile app, or digital services.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of another person’s rights.
Content that you submit or transmit through our services.
Your violation of applicable law.
12.2
This obligation does not require you to indemnify any person for that person’s own conduct to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, ministries, practices, legal requirements, or other circumstances.

13.3

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our website, mobile app, or digital services will be governed by applicable Minnesota law, except to the extent that applicable law requires otherwise.
